Education - (He's secretly a genius, oops) Dae graduated high school 3 years early. This took a huge toll on his mental state, & just school in general. He went to Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio for four years as soon as he could after high school. Dae has an MM in Historical Performance, a BM in Composition, and a minor in Creative Writing.

History
Daedrian was born & raised in Paris, France by both his parents, until the age of 10. His father, Beaumont, worked for Direction Générale de la Sécurité Extérieure(DGSE). It's France's external intelligence agency(What American's call the CIA), and Beau was killed during an undercover operation in Russia. Because Dae's mother was not born in France and was not a French woman, Margaux and Dae were forced to move to Edinburgh, Scotland, Margaux's hometown.
Over the next two years, Margaux fell slowly into depression because of Beaumont's death, and threw herself off a bell tower in August, leaving Dae in the care of an orphanage. Only a few weeks after his stay in the orphanage however, his grandmother, Vianna, took him in to her home in Los Angeles. Yes, an odd place, but Dae looked up to this woman for her wanderlust, and they had such a close bond. It would be the last time Dae would see her when he began attending Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio at the age of 16.
He finished his education when he was 19, though it did take a toll on him; there were times he wouldn't eat for days and wouldn't speak at all. When he got news of Vianna having lung cancer, he immediately rushed his way back to LA as quick as he could, spending the last months of his grandmother's life right next to her.
Daedrian seems to be much more... "free", for lack of better word, after Vianna died. No, he's not a sociopath(well, a little), he's come to terms with her death, which has only broadened his horizons.
They spoil every romance by trying to make it last forever.
